About the Role

The Manager of Digital Supply Chain for Procurement Applications will be responsible for managing and delivering best-in-class services for a complex Supply Chain systems landscape at the corporate level. You will be part of the Global Digital Supply Chain team, managing, supporting, evaluating, designing, and deploying Supply Chain platforms, processes, and systems, along with the necessary resources, either internal or outsourced.

The Digital Supply Chain Manager for Procurement & Compliance will oversee global, regional, and local projects and system deployments.

This position is the primary contact and accountable for Procurement Digital applications, including indicators, operations, growth, standardization, stabilization, innovation, expansion, and consolidation. The role will be based in the USA or Germany.

This position significantly impacts the entire HARMAN Supply Chain Procurement and Compliance processes and systems across all divisions. It will involve interaction with various organizational levels, from global and regional Business Process Owners (BPOs) for procurement and compliance.

Your Team

This role manages direct reports responsible for Digital Supply Chain Networks in Germany and India. The Manager will supervise and coordinate service providers, contractors, and project managers engaged in digital and business-related projects, incidents, or service requests. The position reports to a Digital Supply Chain Director or a regional Senior Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Manage, identify, and administer new or existing Procurement and Compliance Global Digital Supply Chain platforms, systems, process implementations, or enhancements.
  • Interface with all management levels to provide strategic and tactical advice on digital supply chain platforms, systems, and processes.
  • Establish strong relationships and service delivery reporting to regional supply chain stakeholders.
  • Analyze current business needs and provide solutions for global and regional challenges, particularly within the SAP landscape (SAP Purchasing, SAP Ariba, SAP SBN, etc.).
  • Define, support, and manage resource structures effectively.
  • Collaborate with digital, business, and external teams to assign resources, resolve problems, manage projects, and handle service requests related to digital supply chain systems and services.
  • Create and maintain global supply chain standards and write functional and technical specifications and requirements.
  • Manage multiple complex global technology projects, ensuring schedule, cost, and quality adherence.
  • Serve as SME for supply chain networks, conducting knowledge-sharing sessions and developing training materials and documentation.
  • Provide global and regional Level 3 support, following established methodologies and ensuring systems adhere to HARMAN ERP/ECC standards. Maintain all related documentation.

What You Need

  • Strong leadership, change management, collaboration, and customer service skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computers, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Global perspective and ability to work effectively in a diverse organization.
  • Extensive industry experience in Automotive, Consumer Electronics, or High Technology sectors.
  • Proven experience managing customer-facing and application development projects.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder interests and conflicting priorities.
  • Over 10 years of increasing responsibilities in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP Ariba, SAP S4/Hana, SAP SRM-MM, SAP GTS, SAP Vertex; experience with SAP PP, EDI ABAP, transportation, and trade compliance systems is a plus.
  • At least 8 years of experience managing vendor and contractor teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP / S/4HANA Central Procurement certification and experience.
  • Ariba cloud implementation certification and experience.
  • Experience with global transportation management and trade compliance systems.
  • Basic knowledge of BI and analytics.
  • Project management certifications (PMO, Agile, Scrum).
  • Problem-solving training or certifications.
