As SIMI Automotive, a subsidiary of ZF LIFETEC, we specialize in motion capture software and systems for recording and analyzing human movements, contributing to occupant safety solutions. We are working on adaptive restraint systems in collaboration with ZF LIFETEC.

Tasks

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Software Engineer to join our team. Your role will involve working on innovative projects, designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and graphical user interfaces for automotive demonstrators and assistants.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement camera-based assistants and demonstrators solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Use Python GUI frameworks like Tkinter or NiceGUI to create user interfaces.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Develop and deploy unit tests to ensure software quality.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Python Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong Python skills, understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of data structures, software architecture, and design principles.
• Experience with GUI development.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with Linux-based systems.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Fluent English; German B2 is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, UnitTest).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems.
• Experience in Computer Vision is advantageous.
