Jobbeschreibung

The Associate Director Sales Metabolics will be responsible for effectively managing the team of Key Account Managers, driving key account management, sales performance, and flawless execution within the assigned area. The candidate will coach team members according to their individual needs, monitor sales effectiveness indicators, and drive the implementation of marketing initiatives to achieve commercial goals.

The Associate Director Sales Metabolics must maintain a high level of disease-specific scientific knowledge in the relevant therapeutic field. The candidate needs to coach and develop their team on scientific and sales-related skills and engage in complex discussions with healthcare professionals about our rare orphan indications and products, respecting local regulations, company values, and guidelines.

You will be responsible for :
  • Hiring, developing, and leading a high-performing Hypophosphatasia (HPP) sales team
  • Achieving or exceeding sales objectives in the region
  • Coaching, leading, motivating, and inspiring a team of 5 Key Account Managers (KAMs): conducting regular field coaching days and KPI assessments to ensure proper program implementation and message delivery
  • Providing input for the development of local marketing strategies and tactics with the local Metabolics Brand Team
  • Leading KAMs in developing cross-functional, tactical account plans with marketing, promotional, and educational resources, and ensuring their execution
  • Implementing a multi-channel account management approach in HPP to develop commercial relationships through various communication channels including face-to-face, telephone, virtual, and email
  • Providing regular feedback after customer visits to support business development and career development of KAMs, using coaching forms to identify gaps and follow-up needs
  • Building and maintaining relationships with physicians and Key Thought Leaders
  • Ensuring high expertise and customer service excellence
  • Facilitating collaborative communication between KAMs and other field functions, as well as cross-functional teams
  • Developing and mentoring high-potential KAMs
  • Conducting annual performance reviews and supporting KAMs in presenting their territories in bi-annual reviews
  • Managing performance improvement and corrective counseling effectively
  • Ensuring all activities comply with SOPs, compliance policies, and data protection laws
You will need to have :
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field, with a strong scientific background
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track record in managing sales in highly specialized medical areas
  • Ability to motivate and lead a sales team
  • Strong customer focus across large accounts, physicians, patients, and payors
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Influential presentation style and ability to address customer needs effectively
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and collaborative problem-solver
  • Strong business, analytical, and clinical skills
  • Relevant professional licenses and credentials
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
