Job Description:

Title: LCV APS-2 Germany: Tactical Vehicle Mechanic - Contingency

Program Summary:
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary:
Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains a variety of equipment including motor vehicles such as automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors; electrical appliances like stoves, refrigerators, or dishwashers; or heavy equipment including cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools. Works under limited supervision, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot, overhaul, repair, and maintain all types of automotive, hydraulic equipment, and diesel-powered vehicles. Installs specified new or reconditioned parts, makes adjustments, and reassembles units. Disassembles engines and mechanical units to inspect parts and identify defects. Executes preventive maintenance procedures, performs inspections, promotes teamwork, and adheres to safety regulations. Knowledge of oilfield services equipment operation and maintenance is a plus, typically gained through 24-36 months of experience.
