Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure accurate and timely capturing and execution of customer sales orders.
  2. Provide first-line support to customer inquiries and resolve queries promptly.
  3. Enhance customer experience through excellent customer service.
  4. Collaborate with teams across Sasol (M&S, Supply Chain, P&O, QM, and Finance) to deliver value and achieve service excellence.
  5. Process sales orders, debit/credit notes, rebates, commissions, and sample orders in SAP, ensuring completeness and compliance with Sasol’s governance frameworks.
  6. Monitor open orders, check documents, identify and resolve issues, and keep customers and internal teams informed of deviations.
  7. Communicate order status updates to customers, including confirmations and delivery dates.
  8. Investigate and resolve customer queries within set targets.
  9. Manage consignment stock processes, including reconciliation and invoicing as applicable.
  10. Issue pro forma invoices in coordination with M&S as needed.
  11. Follow up on payment reminders with customers in cooperation with relevant functions.
  12. Manage letters of credit in collaboration with relevant departments.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Formal education in a commercial field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar customer service environment.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and information systems.
  • Experience in customer service or inside sales with a keen eye for detail.
  • Good knowledge of chemical operations and products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures and languages, demonstrating intercultural skills.
  • Resilience under stress and work pressure, with capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are advantageous.
