Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely capturing and execution of customer sales orders.
- Provide first-line support to customer inquiries and resolve queries promptly.
- Enhance customer experience through excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with teams across Sasol (M&S, Supply Chain, P&O, QM, and Finance) to deliver value and achieve service excellence.
- Process sales orders, debit/credit notes, rebates, commissions, and sample orders in SAP, ensuring completeness and compliance with Sasol’s governance frameworks.
- Monitor open orders, check documents, identify and resolve issues, and keep customers and internal teams informed of deviations.
- Communicate order status updates to customers, including confirmations and delivery dates.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries within set targets.
- Manage consignment stock processes, including reconciliation and invoicing as applicable.
- Issue pro forma invoices in coordination with M&S as needed.
- Follow up on payment reminders with customers in cooperation with relevant functions.
- Manage letters of credit in collaboration with relevant departments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Formal education in a commercial field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar customer service environment.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and information systems.
- Experience in customer service or inside sales with a keen eye for detail.
- Good knowledge of chemical operations and products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures and languages, demonstrating intercultural skills.
- Resilience under stress and work pressure, with capacity to manage multiple tasks.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are advantageous.
