The EMEA CAPEX Regional Commodity Manager will act as the primary interface and respected partner to internal stakeholders in the development and follow-up of the purchasing processes (including KPI definitions). He/she will take responsibility for executing category strategies, implementing sourcing strategies, and applying the Purchasing policy. He/she will actively develop savings plans for Calderys EMEA entities on CAPEX and drive their implementation with the support of local purchasers, procurement, supply chain, and engineering & CAPEX industrial teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential new suppliers and process the documentation to include them in the company-approved supplier list. Define and follow up on the purchasing strategy for CAPEX articles in the Calderys group.
  • Work with industrial and engineering teams to identify savings initiatives leveraging different design options: innovation, standardization, bundling of volumes…
  • Prepare and issue Request for Quotes (RFQ) to selected bidders as per CAPEX Purchasing strategy, coordinate RFQs, organize commercial and technical bid clarifications with Engineering, Industrial, and EHS departments. Issue and negotiate claims due to non-conformities with suppliers.
  • Assess the procurement process for CAPEX articles and propose improvements in policy.
  • Report significant savings in the QUIMEO platform.
  • Administer and maintain the prices shared database for CAPEX to ensure all data is accurate, available, and up-to-date. Provide guidance and direction for other stakeholders.
  • Possess a Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering, Commercial Engineering degree, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Have 5-10 years of experience in Purchasing.
  • Possess project management skills or experience working in project mode.
  • Be fluent in English and German.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a team player mentality.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data-driven approaches.
  • Be autonomous.
  • Possess strategic thinking and intercultural competence.
