Our client is a world-leading wastewater technology and treatment company recently awarded a project for the design, supply, and installation of a new wastewater treatment plant in Germany.

They are looking for a project manager who will coordinate engineering, logistics, and installation activities, inspect the works, and manage the entire project activity based in Germany.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) engineering and design
• Experience with wastewater treatment plant construction (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control)
• Knowledge of WWTP technology and process
• Commercial negotiation capabilities
• Experience working with multinational companies
• AutoCAD and office software knowledge
• Fluent English (speaking and writing)

Schedule and scope:

1. Engineering and negotiation with potential subcontractors: approximately 6 months.
2. Construction / installation: approximately 10 months.
3. Post construction and commissioning phase: approximately 3 months.

Responsibilities of the LPM

Phase A:

• Be in touch with the German parties involved in the project, participate in all meetings and conference calls related to the project in Germany.
• Coordinate all engineering between the company and the local engineering company, client, and its consultants.
• Identify and allocate local subcontractors for installation and local equipment suppliers.

Phase B:

• Attend the construction site daily.
• Manage relations with subcontractors.
• Lead the site team and support coordination for site works.
• Generate and maintain site procedures.
• Supervise electromechanical works through direct inspection.
• Oversee HSE issues by assigning a site supervisor.
• Review and monitor all bills from subcontractors.
• Hold site meetings with all parties.
• Issue construction reports.

Phase C:

• Supervise startup and commissioning of electromechanical and mechanical works.
• Supervise finalization of all rejects.
