Responsibilities
  • Are you a problem-solver with a can-do attitude? We want to hear from you. Advantest is growing its Global Support Expert team for the V93000 SoC Test System.
  • This team provides 3rd level technical support to end customers. The team in Böblingen is the highest point of escalation and has a close relationship with the end customer and Field Engineers.
  • Design for support is a key focus, where the team drives new product designs towards supportability and profitability.
  • As a Global Support Engineer, you will provide support for our product customers.
  • Manage the delivery of technical solutions to address customer needs, utilizing skills from tactical execution to project management.
  • Recognized as the global technical support expert for Advantest Semiconductor Test Systems.
  • Accountable for global technical escalation management.
  • Translate technical details into clear, actionable insights based on customer requirements.
  • Review & analyze customer health trends to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Define and measure support requirements for new product development to ensure supportability at lowest costs.
  • Contribute to service and end-user documentation and training for new products.
  • Conduct training to disseminate knowledge to regional service organizations worldwide.
  • Ensure product quality, reliability, and compatibility for the installed base.
  • Drive continuous improvement in support capabilities globally.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Physics, or related fields.
  • Experience as R&D, Production, or Support Engineer in an international environment managing cross-functional projects.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor test equipment, hardware testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash, Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Podman).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for project and customer support.

  • Proactive problem-solver with a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of working collaboratively across global teams.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English; German language skills are a plus.
