About the Innovation Impact Program
Our 18-month Graduate Program starts on [Start Date].
What you´ll do
- Support new and existing businesses with your technical expertise as part of our Application Engineering team in Düsseldorf, Germany, acting as a bridge between clients and Henkel’s R&D departments.
- Develop and implement data-driven methods to optimize pilot-scale manufacturing processes in R&D by analyzing sensor data and process parameters to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate insights from data analysis, collaborating with product developers and engineers to turn findings into actionable process improvements.
- Contribute to the development and validation of digital twins to simulate and optimize production workflows.
- Take an active role in rotation projects—working on lab, customer, and business-related tasks—while exploring future trends in digitalization, sustainability, and innovation.
- Support the digital transformation of R&D by implementing data-based workflows for process development and knowledge management.
What makes you a good fit
- You have recently completed, or are about to complete, a Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Application Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar engineering-focused field.
- You gained first hands-on experience through internships, academic research, or industry-related projects during your studies—ideally in process development or optimization—with a focus on data-driven approaches and a solid understanding of chemical reaction engineering, mass transfer, and process control principles.
- You are proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) and design of experiment tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP), and have experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of advanced technologies such as IoT, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus.
- You are highly motivated, a team player, and eager to contribute to innovative solutions.
- You are interested in growing your career in Henkel’s global Innovation network, with relocation as one possible path after the program.
- Proficiency in English is essential, as you will work in an international environment.
