Job Description:

The research group of Jan Dörr at the ECRC, Charité, and Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral research associate in molecular cancer biology.

Our laboratory investigates tumor heterogeneity and treatment resistance in pediatric cancers, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and an interdisciplinary team. The working language is English.

Ideal candidates are recent PhD or postdoctoral researchers with experience in cancer biology, biochemistry, or molecular oncology, especially in tumor biology, functional proteomics, and signal transduction.

The successful candidate will develop research projects focusing on the impact of genetic and phenotypic tumor heterogeneity on therapy resistance in neuroblastoma models, aiming to identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities.

The position offers access to advanced facilities and collaborations with national and international research groups. It is initially limited to the first CRC funding period, with potential extension.

Qualifications include:

  • Recent PhD or postdoctoral experience in relevant fields
  • Motivated, independent, and creative mindset
  • Strong publication record
  • Experience in functional genomics, molecular biology, and molecular medicine techniques
  • Proficiency in transcriptomic and proteomic data analysis, basic programming skills (preferably in R)
