Junior Business Development Representative | BDR

Identity & Access Management | GRC

You'll be joining a growing and passionate team as the first dedicated Business Development Representative to drive forward the growth of their IAM software company.

  • Salary: Roughly €60,000 - 70,000 OTE, 60/40 split base and commission.Happy to discuss.
  • Level: ~2/3 years experience needed, this isn't an entry level hire
  • Locations: Remote friendly in Germany is fine, but they'd love an openness to visit them in Regensburg Bavaria as regularly as you can, and for onboarding etc
  • Hours: 40 hours - flexible - e.g. early or late riser? You decide.

What you'll be doing

As a Junior Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll be the 4th sales hire where you'll participate in the full sales process from initial contact to close (supported by your more experienced team in sales, marketing, the COO who you'll report to, who's also still hands on in sales, and more!)

As a BDR, you'll be the first point of contact with prospective customers, helping them understand how their modern identity solutions can solve real-world security and compliance challenges.

You'll be responsible for lead generation and will contact prospects through a range of methods (cold calling, social selling through linkedin etc), but you'll also be someone who's able to process incoming leads from marketing and other colleagues. Networking will form a key part of your role to nurture long-term growth opportunities. You'll join your colleagues at key industry events also!

Currently 70% of sales are through channel partners and that will continue to grow with your help as they evolve and also look to expand more outside of Germany too. Average sales cycles are between 6-9 months, with an average deal size of 60,000.

Relatively recently the company gained a new CEO who's recognised as one of the most influential and brightest minds in the European IAM scene as their previous CEO moves in to an advisory role in the business.

Despite being remote friendly, they're also a sociable bunch who regularly communicate and like to have fun. They get together over sports, go climbing and much more. Although they have a structure in the business, they very much believe in open communication, C suite are easily accessible and still involved heavily day to day and are proud of their environment where everyone feels valued and can contribute their ideas.
