1. You use EGYM's extensive training and health data to develop models that help people stay healthy and train effectively.
2. You help drive projects through data exploration, pragmatic experimentation, and the development of new solutions to challenging problems.
3. You set up feasibility checkpoints, communicate ongoing results, and collaborate closely with our engineers, product managers, and agile coaches to guide our path to delivery.
4. You work effectively in a complex and evolving software environment (EGYM Tech Radar).
5. You track the most important advances in AI and machine learning, ensuring that our solutions are state-of-the-art.

Your fitness level

1. You have 5+ years of professional experience in delivering machine-learning-based solutions.
2. You are comfortable developing in Python and can preferably work with code in other languages (such as Java, Go, or R).
3. You are able to integrate many different kinds of data into the solution (SQL, NoSQL, unstructured, etc.).
4. You have extensive practical and theoretical knowledge in data science and machine learning methods.
5. You have excellent communication skills and an ability to explain complex, abstract concepts in simple, concrete terms.
6. You are comfortable solving problems end-to-end in a hands-on manner, recognizing that collaboration outside your areas of expertise is often necessary.
7. You are able to strike a balance between acting independently and delegating where possible.

Your training goal for your first 6 months

1. You have become an expert in the data we collect on people’s health and fitness and know your way around in the EGYM data universe.
2. You have completed a rotation in a software development team at EGYM and are comfortable working side-by-side with our engineers.
3. You have made visible contributions to our product line, are receiving live feedback data from their usage and are able to assess and fine-tune your work based on real-world insights from this usage.
4. You have advanced our processes for ongoing model development and deployment.
5. You are a regular sparring partner for our product managers, helping expand our vision of future product ideas.
