Who will you be joining?

The Accounting Hub, as part of Group Accounting and Reporting in H2, is a central provider of accounting functions for Allianz entities in Germany and worldwide. We offer a wide range of financial services and serve as a center of competence for investment accounting, subledger accounting, closing & reporting for insurance and non-insurance entities, and the maintenance and development of our financial systems.

The team Finance Systems Overarching is responsible for operating and maintaining the core SAP finance and accounting applications for various OEs. Additionally, the team plays a crucial role in developing and evolving the future finance landscape and is heavily involved in the Group initiative SimpliFi.

This position is vital in ensuring that finance requirements are understood and translated into effective technology solutions. You will work in operational support and projects to adapt existing finance solutions or define new ones.

How can you make an impact?

• Define, drive, and deliver financial solutions and optimized end-to-end processes in collaboration with stakeholders (business, IT, service providers). Ensure detailed testing and documentation.
• Establish automated closing processes in relevant ERP systems and analyze and resolve errors during closing.
• Review audit findings related to financial applications and processes, identify actions, and implement mitigations with stakeholders.
• Manage and govern SAP authorizations and processes.
• Participate in projects within your expertise and develop sufficient expertise to lead project streams.
• Support the Group initiative SimpliFi as an expert on data models, technical accounting data flows, authorizations, and closing processes.
• Assist in establishing OE operational processes under SimpliFi ownership.

Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Technical knowledge of accounting systems, preferably SAP.
• Analytical thinking and numeracy skills to identify patterns and root causes in complex data.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for various audiences.
• High-level finance and insurance knowledge, understanding of group complexities.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the SimpliFi Group Initiative.
• Experience in related business functions (e.g., Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment, etc.).
• Experience with ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solutions.
