We are looking for an ambitious Accountant / Senior Accountant (f / m / d) to join and support the growth of our accounting team.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with the day-to-day management of the company's financial records, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
2. Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
3. Participate in the preparation of financial reports.
4. Support senior team members with financial analysis and reconciliations.
5. Ensure compliance with German GAAP and tax regulations.
6. Approve invoices and expenses.
7. Prepare and book accruals and provisions.
8. Maintain fixed assets.
9. Book bank statements and credit card reconciliations.
10. Processing and control of payments
11. Reconcile balance sheet, income statement accounts, and creditors and customers.
12. Prepare VAT declarations and tax reports.
13. Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and audits.

Your Profile

• You have an academic degree in Accounting or a comparable qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Knowledge of accounting principles and experience with bookkeeping.
• First experience with accounting software and ERP tools (Workday and Datev).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment; experience in fast-paced/scaling organizations or startups is a bonus.
• Knowledge of German Local GAAP and German Taxation is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and German.
