To support our Drug Safety & Metabolism Team in Schwabenheim (near Mainz), we are seeking a full-time, fixed-term (2 years) Senior Scientist (m/f/d), Preclinical Development in Animal Health.

Your Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Support Research and Development in relation to new and existing products
• Compile and evaluate pharmacological and toxicological profiles of chemical substances through literature search and testing
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate inhouse studies following GLP guidelines, including toxicity, pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and residue depletion; monitor outsourced studies
• Prepare expert reports, scientific texts, and presentations in English for regulatory authorities
• Maintain relationships with contract research organizations, external experts, and universities
• Represent preclinical activities in international multidisciplinary project teams

Your Qualifications:

• Veterinary Medicine degree, including PhD or equivalent
• Experience in Research and Development, preferably in the international veterinary pharmaceutical industry
• Experience managing animal studies, ideally according to GLP
• Strong knowledge in pharmacology, metabolism, and toxicology
• Experience in pharmacokinetic and metabolic evaluation of active substances
• Accurate, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
