The team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO is looking for motivated talents who want to work at the interface of artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

What you will do

You will work in an interdisciplinary team on innovative research topics and projects with activities such as:

• Developing groundbreaking AI workflows to revolutionize knowledge processes, including:
• Designing automatic monitoring of arXiv for relevant publications in quantum computing.
• Producing high-quality summaries of scientific papers.
• Identifying major conferences and events in quantum computing, quantum machine learning, and quantum simulation.

Supporting sub-teams with challenges like testing hybrid OML algorithms.

Collaborating with experts to drive innovative approaches at the intersection of AI and quantum computing.

What you bring to the table

• Being a registered student.
• Knowledge and practical experience in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Huggingface.
• Experience in data preprocessing for ML tasks is a plus.
• Experience developing AI workflows or agents with tools like LangChain, Dify, CrewAI, or Llamalndex.
• Interest in quantum computing and quantum machine learning, with willingness to learn.
• Analytical thinking, creativity, independence, and boundary-pushing mindset.
