Today, around 14,000 employees work with existing SAP ERP systems. They call up over 50 million transactions every month. ZEISS aims to standardize and regularize different ERP systems, from numerous companies across the entire Group during the changeover from SAP R / 3 to SAP S / 4HANA. The goal is to be as close as possible to the SAP standard and to harmonize processes across all segments and countries wherever it makes sense, focusing on efficiency, effectiveness, speed, flexibility, and compliance. The Role…

ZEISS is seeking a passionate, dynamic Business Expert S / 4HANA Master Data Management (MDM) to join this exciting time for the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business requirements and designing necessary process adaptations. You must have an in-depth understanding of end-to-end master data management processes within an SAP environment. Excellent conceptual, results-oriented, and communication skills are essential to navigate the complexity and pace of the program.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage regional and segment-specific business requirements, including business roles and data design, within the global SAP S / 4HANA system, conducting local fit-gap analyses under the leadership of deputy/hub process owners.
2. Drive the adaptation of end-to-end business processes towards FIT4 goals of harmonization and standardization; liaise with entity business experts on preparatory work such as data cleansing.
3. Provide guidance and steer junior hub business experts in requirements analysis and business process modeling.
4. Design and own test cases; conduct functional end-to-end tests in the SAP S / 4HANA system.
5. Contribute to the roll-in of assigned projects within a region and, if necessary, across SBUs/segments, as organized by the regional hub lead.
6. Assist in the creation of training materials and support end-user training as required.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Master Data Management; more experience is welcome as responsibilities grow.
• Deep understanding of Master Data Management, including material master data, business partner master data, and variant configuration management.
• Proven experience in managing business requirements and designing business processes.
• Experience with SAP R / 3 and ideally SAP S / 4HANA, along with relevant third-party business systems.
• Relevant industry knowledge.
• Excellent conceptual, results-oriented, and communication skills.
• Ability to build networks and work effectively in intercultural and interdisciplinary global teams.
• Business fluency in English and another language.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays and occasional weekends.
