Qualifikationen

  • Mindestens drei Jahre Erfahrung in der Buchhaltungsabteilung von Hotels.

Aufgaben

  • Vorbereitung des Monatsabschlusses und Erstellen der P&L für verschiedene Hotels.

Your mission

The Borealis Hotel Group is looking for an ambitiousAssistant Financial Controller (f/m/d). You will be a key link in a cluster of as many as 12 hotels and growing. You will work closely with the Cluster Director of Finance and the finance team. In addition, you have a lot of and direct contact with the Hotel Managers, which means you will be working on both strategic and operational matters.

What does your working day look like?

  • Working in hospitality means teamwork and conviviality, which you will find in your work
  • Starting the day with a cup of coffee or tea
  • Going through the day with the Cluster Director of Finance, your manager and coach
  • Preparing for month-end closing and delivering the P&L for the various hotels
  • Collaborating with the on-site team and an external support agency to verify figures
  • Taking a critical look at the balance sheets of some hotels after the monthly closing is progressing well
  • Identifying corrections or adjustments and discussing them with the relevant Hotel Manager
  • Having a one-to-one with the Cluster Financial Controller in the afternoon
  • Discussing action points for your visit to one of the hotels tomorrow
  • Ending the day feeling fulfilled and accomplished
Your profile

As an Assistant Financial Controller (f/m/d), you already have all-round financial experience to bring to the table. You have experience in preparing reports, including budgets and reporting. You have an eye for cash flow management and in monitoring and implementing the relevant policies. You see trends in reports, easily spot the necessary adjustments and know how to communicate your vision clearly. In this role, you have a high degree of responsibility, which you feel comfortable with. Of course, we are there to coach you further - and develop you where necessary.

  • You have at least three years' experience within the accounting department of hotels.
  • You have knowledge of PMS software, payroll software and accounting software such as Exact Online, Elvy is an advantage.
  • You are strong in the Dutch and English language, in conversation and writing.
  • You have good Microsoft Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and Teams.
  • You have good skills in training hotel teams on policies and SOPs.
  • You are sufficiently familiar with current / recent laws and regulations, as well as accounting guidelines and procedures.
