Team mission
As a Senior Designer at GetYourGuide, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the B2B experience of our platform. In the Supply Tools team, you will become the domain expert in all things Supplier experience and own significant, high-impact areas of the Supplier journey like onboarding, supplier insights, analytics, and the supplier portal overall. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, ambitious, and proactive designer, willing to work on foundational projects with broad impact, advocate for user centricity, follow a thorough design process, and improve the overall user experience of our Suppliers.
What you'll do:
- Support the evolution of the Supply Portal design language and the delivery of essential libraries and frameworks (including a design system), supporting designers and engineers in creating new user experiences.
- Design, discuss, and document emerging design patterns, finding opportunities to drive alignment across product areas.
- Support systems thinking across the broader design team and ensure consistency with the design language.
- Design and iterate on high-quality deliverables across all Supplier products.
- Explore ambiguous design challenges with various approaches to help your team understand the problem spaces.
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design and product decisions.
- Collaborate with UX researchers to plan strategic research initiatives and test your designs.
- Work closely with Content Design to structure and refine your designs.
- Develop a user-centered perspective on your product area, advocating for user needs and your vision collaboratively.
- Mentor other designers, providing constructive feedback to enhance decision-making and work quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on design rationale and shared understanding.
- Partner with your Product Manager to build product strategy and roadmap.
- Foster collaboration among brand and product designers, engineering, and product teams to create a cohesive supplier experience.
- Establish and promote design principles around inclusivity, usability, and aesthetics.
- Learn from a diverse international team and mentor other designers for professional growth.
What you should bring:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in end-to-end product design in a startup, SMB, large digital company, or design consulting agency;
- Significant experience in constructing design languages and systems, accessible interfaces, and componentized UI frameworks;
- A problem-solving mindset focused on outcomes, utilizing user feedback and A/B testing to validate hypotheses;
- Proven track record leading medium-sized design projects with a user-centered approach and high-quality deliverables;
- Strong visual design skills, including branding, composition, and UI components;
- Ability to create prototypes and mock-ups to bring ideas to life;
- Ability to present and rationalize design concepts effectively and articulate a clear product vision;
- Proactive and autonomous working style;
- Experience collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams including Product Managers and Engineers;
- Understanding of how UX impacts business objectives and KPIs.
