Our Games Publishing Lead will be a key part of Tencent Games’ Global Publishing team, reporting directly to the Head of Global PC/Console Publishing. You will leverage your understanding of market and player motivations, work closely with our second-party production team, and build strong relationships with our game studio partners to deliver AAA titles across multiple platforms.

As Game Publishing Lead, you will oversee all stages of AAA game franchises, from initial concept to post-launch support, including early product optimization, testing, pre-release preparations, promotion, community management, user acquisition, live-ops, and monetization.

You will also lead our brand marketing strategy, from setting the brand vision and game positioning to executing regional go-to-market plans for live service and GaaS initiatives. Your responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating communication among regions to ensure successful global releases.
  • Allocating resources effectively and managing projects efficiently.
  • Coordinating with Tencent teams and external partners to ensure project success.
  • Achieving KPIs such as brand awareness, revenue, DAU, and retention.
  • Working with Canadian studios and traveling internationally.
  • Driving quality and strategic planning for products.
  • Conducting market and consumer research to identify opportunities.
  • Supporting studios in marketing execution.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships for timely information flow.
  • Analyzing competitors and new business opportunities for senior management.

Requirements:

To succeed, you should have:

  • Over 10 years of experience in brand marketing, product management, or related fields, with multiple titles across platforms.
  • Deep understanding of building and delivering AAA titles and franchises.
  • Knowledge of F2P and live service/GaaS models, especially in European and American markets.
  • A passion for gaming and a keen sense of market trends and data analysis.
  • Strong collaboration, communication skills, and cultural awareness of Chinese and Western cultures.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
  • A responsible, self-driven attitude with problem-solving skills, resilience, and experience managing work across time zones, preferably in large multinational projects.
