A leading hospitality company is seeking a sales professional to drive revenue and achieve topline goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on generating new business and maintaining relationships with key accounts. The role involves collaboration with various teams to maximize account production and support revenue growth through strategic initiatives.
Drives revenue to achieve hotels' topline goals by proactively soliciting all business segments, including new business from small accounts, sourcing new targets, and resoliciting past leads. Focuses on properties' BT Pricing strategy and supports property efforts through internal mining at assigned hotels. Partners with leadership to ensure competitive sales strategies and market positioning by aligning sales activities and communicating real-time competitor intelligence. Reports to the Property Sales Leader (ASL or DOS/DOSM) and collaborates closely with hotel General Managers, Local Sales, and U.S. Account Sales / GSO teams to maximize high-priority account production, including corporate business within the marketplace.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.
Preferred:
- 4-year college degree; previous experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality and sales; knowledge of property-specific business segments (e.g., group, catering, transient); industry knowledge.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Collaborates with Property Sales Leader to identify top accounts, determine deployment structure, and drive demand from key buyers. Assists in identifying share shift targets, manages funnel reports, and works with teams to drive production. Coordinates internal mining efforts, solicits new business, and leverages business intelligence and internal tools for lead generation. Maintains accurate lead information and qualifies long-term potential. Utilizes negotiation and creative selling skills, understands market dynamics, and communicates trends. Uses all sales channels and marketing initiatives to optimize revenue. Tracks activities, participates in sales meetings, and adjusts priorities as needed.
Proactively solicits new business from small accounts, activates local tactics for deployed accounts, and performs other duties to support revenue growth. Builds relationships through community engagement, visits target accounts, and coordinates with stakeholders to meet hotel needs. Handles customer care issues, supports service standards, and engages in property events to develop new accounts. Supports company diversity and inclusion policies.
