Licensed Practical Nurse - Long Term Care (NRS-24-183), Eldena

This role involves applying the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining optimal health within a people-centered care approach. The LPN works across various settings including Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home, Primary Health Care, Public Health, and Home Care, exercising full scope of practice, engaging in ongoing education, and maintaining competency according to relevant policies and standards.

The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment to determine work priorities and methods, functioning in alignment with the mission, vision, and policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Qualifications

• Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and Code of Ethics
• Ability to foster a collaborative interdisciplinary environment supporting quality services and improvement
