Job Description:

Institutional Credit Management (ICM) was established within Citigroup to provide integrated credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise. This role supports ICM in Europe, focusing on Citigroup Global Markets Europe (CGME) and Citibank Europe plc (CEP).

The position requires expertise in wholesale credit, understanding of systems, controls, and practices relevant to wholesale lending, and practical experience across business cycles. It involves liaising with various teams to ensure issue resolution and compliance.

Responsibilities

1. Support regional Europe ICM Management with credit risk oversight and governance.
2. Collaborate on internal/external reviews, audit, and compliance testing for European entities.
3. Design and implement credit product strategies, process improvements, and technology requirements to enhance client outcomes and data quality.
4. Contribute to regulatory remediations and internal issue resolutions, focusing on sustainable solutions.
5. Identify emerging risks within European legal entities.
6. Support initiatives to ensure compliance with European and German laws, including EU Capital Requirements, Market Abuse Regulation, and MiFID.
7. Ensure efficient operation of ICM across Europe and broader EMEA region.
8. Support governance forums and escalate issues appropriately.
9. Assist with outsourcing, approvals, and monitoring of services to European entities.
10. Engage with management teams to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in business management or credit risk.
• Leadership experience with teams, including virtual teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate independently and exercise judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills across geographies.
• Proactive communication style.
• Flexible skillset and approach; experience with Citi or wholesale credit risk is a plus.
