Jobbeschreibung

Imperial Brands is currently recruiting for a Senior Researcher to join our Sensory and Consumer Science Team, initially on an 18 to 24 month fixed-term contract.

You will play a lead role in supporting and facilitating consumer research activities to gain valuable insights into consumer preferences, behaviors, and experiences.

Your primary focus will be on understanding consumer perceptions, preferences, and decision-making processes related to our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to drive product development, innovation, and marketing strategies based on consumer insights.

Principle Accountabilities

  1. Serve as the key sensory contact for internal and external stakeholders for defined product categories; assume responsibility for specific projects across categories.
  2. Transfer know-how and provide consultancy regarding appropriate sensory options to external and internal stakeholders, including keeping up-to-date with advancements in sensory science and adapting them to business needs, managing budgets, sharing learnings, and triggering change.
  3. Act as an interface between consumer perception and client needs (Marketing, Manufacturing) from a sensorial market perspective.
  4. Transfer methodology and train agencies to conduct standardized sensory research.
  5. Initiate, implement, review, and optimize new consumer research tools and non-standard methodologies in collaboration with the research manager.
  6. Supervise sensory research designs for qualitative and quantitative product and consumer research, including leading, designing, and conducting consumer research in dedicated facilities.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong background and experience in sensory product and market research, with an understanding of the interaction between product and consumer.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Additional Skills

  • High-level knowledge of statistical analysis and market research methods, with excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office, SAS/SPSS, XLStat).
  • Excellent analytical thinking, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong teamworking and prioritization abilities.
  • Curious, flexible, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
