ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Transportation Manager to join our vehicle sustainment team in Waldmohr, Germany.
The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
*Important Note*: Selected candidates require favorable completion and receipt of Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) from the German Landers. TESA Approval Organization. Any stated date is an approximate projection based upon the eleven (11) week TESA review cycle.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing leadership and management for all assigned logistics and supply clerks.
- Planning, organizing, and supervising the preparation and execution of movement and distribution operations. Coordinating deployment and distribution actions with multinational, Joint, Army, and commercial agencies through the Joint Logistics Enterprise.
- Functioning as a technical expert and monitoring personnel who receive, evaluate, and process customer requisitions and reports for assigned programs, equipment, and systems.
- Controlling and managing requisition processes, theater stock assets, repair program candidate items, and other special programs as required.
- Reviewing Global Combat Support System (GCSS) generated requisitions received from customers for correctness and completeness. Comparing requested quantities with authorizations and quantities on hand. Validating requirements and determining the most economical and effective source of supply.
- Processing GCSS generated requisitions in the system to ensure fill and completion of actions, along with performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of qualified experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 14+ years of qualified experience with a trade school certification or associate degree, or 16+ years of experience.
- At least three (3) years’ experience managing supply and logistics at Echelons Above Brigade (EAB) level.
- At least three (3) years’ experience managing inventory, requisitioning supplies, and maintaining stock in GCSS.
- Experience in operating material handling equipment, recording, maintaining, and initiating work order documentation for acquisition of component items from commercial sources and DLA.
- Experience in training, managing, and supervising personnel within a supply support activity or warehouse, concerning supply systems policy and procedures.
- Experience in shipping and receiving parts and equipment, and familiarity with Army Logistics Information System (LIS) and AE, AK, and EU custom clearance processes.
- Proficiency with warehouse and supply support activity management, Microsoft Office Suite, and report generation using PowerBI.
- Ability to travel moderately to various US or OCONUS locations and meet all IRDO requirements.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED and a Valid Driver’s License for the work location.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing requisition, receipt, storage, retrograde, and distribution of supplies and equipment at supply support activities, in accordance with policies and regulations.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen with a current/active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch, kneel, push, pull, reach, and work in high noise areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and small parts.
- Ability to work with computers, CRTs, and type on a keyboard.
