Your Role

As a Sr. People Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across the full employee lifecycle in Germany. You will serve as the expert for data, reporting, and process optimization—leveraging advanced Excel skills to deliver accurate payroll data, build scalable reporting frameworks, and support strategic decision-making across Finance, Tax, and HR. If you are passionate about supporting team members, transforming complex workforce data into actionable insights, and thrive in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, this role is for you.

Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Owning People Operations for Germany, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, reporting, VSOP processes, and HR administration.
  2. Managing onboarding processes: creating employee profiles in Personio, handling visa cases, coordinating IT setup via ticketing, and ensuring a smooth first-day experience.
  3. Overseeing offboarding procedures in coordination with IT and Legal, including resignations, terminations, reference letters, and unemployment certificates.
  4. Maintaining structured workflows for offboarding to ensure compliance and consistency.
  5. Handling monthly payroll for all German entities, including processing bonus overviews and calculating monthly accruals.
  6. Providing payroll-related reporting and HR analytics for Accounting, FP&A, and Tax departments, including support for audits and merger preparations with global employee data.
  7. Tracking and reporting People Team KPIs on a monthly basis.
  8. Serving as the Personio system expert: configuring workflows, creating automations, and generating reports.
  9. Acting as an internal labor law advisor for People Operations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  10. Collaborating with the global People Team on team initiatives and culture-building topics.
Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you:

  1. Hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Management, Human Resources).
  2. Have 3+ years of relevant experience in People Operations, Human Resource Management, or People Analytics.
  3. Demonstrate strong knowledge of Personio and Excel.
  4. Experience in setting up global processes, policies, and optimizations is a plus.
  5. Have a clear understanding of German labor law, HRIS, and payroll systems; experience with US payroll systems is a plus.
  6. Fluency in German and English is required.
