Our high-resolution LIDAR sensors deliver superior imaging at a lower cost, used in autonomous cars, drones, and other applications. We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to sell our sensors and support existing key customers in the D.A.CH. region, primarily in the industrial automation and robotics industries. This position is remote, preferably based in Germany.

Responsibilities:
  1. Engage in a consultative, relationship-driven sales process with high-value customers across various verticals — from lead identification to networking with decision-makers and influencers, pitching Ouster’s technology credibly, and guiding evaluation, pilot, integration, design wins, and production.
  2. Serve as the primary relationship manager with key account decision-makers and influencers, collaborating with product management, customer success, and field application engineering teams to ensure successful sensor deployments and address customer inquiries.
  3. Cross-sell within existing customer relationships, leveraging project successes to identify new opportunities within the same organization.
  4. Focus on priority accounts, taking responsibility for aggressive sales goals to rapidly grow the business.
  5. Identify new customer requirements and communicate these to product management and engineering teams.
  6. Respond promptly to customer needs and work cross-functionally internally to satisfy and grow relationships.
  7. Utilize preferred sales methodologies and tools to prospect and manage all sales cycle stages.
  8. Maintain internal reporting and forecasting for business operations and finance teams.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proven success in exceeding sales or business development goals.
  • Experience in hunter roles, finding and winning new business, managing sales from prospecting to closing.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience, selling to C-level executives in enterprise accounts, including Fortune 500 companies.
  • Curious and analytical mindset, able to understand customer perspectives and needs.
  • Resourceful and creative in achieving objectives efficiently.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and diligent in following up and maintaining momentum.
  • Polished communication skills, able to manage conversations with diverse stakeholders smoothly and charismatically, avoiding jargon where possible.
  • Self-aware and humble, open to feedback and continuous self-improvement.
  • Technical proficiency, motivated to learn about company products beyond surface level, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly.
  • Trained in reputable sales methodologies.
  • Skilled in CRM and prospecting tools like Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Groove.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering.
  • Experience selling to automotive and industrial sectors is a plus.
  • Experience in hardware or SaaS sales is a plus.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • This is a remote position, preferably based in Germany.
