Your mission

As a Software Engineer in the Platform team, you’ll work on growing and maintaining PartsOS, our core data platform, and its integrations with other systems. If you’ve got a knack for solving tough challenges with elegant, scalable solutions, we want to hear from you!

Tasks

• Backend Development: Build and maintain backend services using Python (Django). Shape our platform architecture to support the frontend and integrate with external systems.
• API & Integration: Develop and document RESTful APIs to ensure seamless frontend-backend communication.
• Data Science & Engineering: Implement algorithms for data planning and optimization; develop and refine ETL pipelines for data processing.
• CI/CD & Testing: Contribute to deployment pipelines; write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven track record of shipping production code and building scalable software.
• API & Database: Experience with REST APIs and PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Data Skills: Experience with ETL pipelines, data cleaning, and familiarity with the Python data stack.
• Algorithm & Data Science: Ability to design and maintain algorithms; bonus for experience in planning and optimization.
• CI/CD: Experience with deployment pipelines ensuring reliable releases.
• Communication: Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Work Eligibility: Located in Europe with necessary work authorizations.
• Remote & Location: Work from anywhere in Europe; Berlin-based candidates get hybrid flexibility and workation options.
