Position Title: Local Delivery Driver (CDL B)

Location: Schofield, WI

Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet, with most vehicles under 6 years old, equipped with driver-friendly technology such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance systems, latest camera technology, and GPS navigation.

As the "face of Airgas," the Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The role involves loading, unloading, delivering, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with customers.

Responsibilities include:

1. Safely loading, delivering, and unloading cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
2. Recording deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtaining customer signatures for receipt purposes.
3. Collecting empty cylinders or rejected or unsold merchandise and returning them to a plant or branch for refilling.
4. Establishing and maintaining good customer relations, resolving service inquiries and complaints.
5. Providing timely communication to managers or sales associates regarding customer issues.
6. Maintaining load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations (SAFECOR, DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).
7. Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies.
8. Working in warehouse or on dock as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Class B Driver's License.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications or ability to acquire them.
• At least 1 year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last 5 years with a clean driving record (no more than 2 convictions, or 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, or a combination of one conviction and one accident).
• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Age 21 or older.
