Job Title: Automotive OEM Quality Account Manager
The Automotive OEM Quality Account Manager is a key customer-facing role within the Corporate Quality team, responsible for managing customer relationships and interfacing daily with various business groups and divisions. This position requires strong collaboration with Product & Test Engineering, Customer & Product Quality, Central Engineering, and Manufacturing & Operations.
- Serve as the focal point for Automotive OEM customers on all quality-related matters.
- Promote engagement with business units, manufacturing, and quality management.
- Support design-in activities, addressing product quality, quality data, and reliability reports.
- Create a collaborative team environment, resolve issues to meet goals, produce customer presentations, ensure timely updates, and maintain accurate documentation in internal systems. Support NPD with a focus on communicating new product and technology reliability activities.
- Lead cross-functional global 8D teams to ensure prompt resolution of customer quality issues from initiation to closure.
- Implement fast, effective containment and facilitate structured problem-solving tools (e.g., Is/Is-Not, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, 5-why, 8D).
- Deploy customer best practices across organizational boundaries and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Represent all onsemi products in customer quality interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor/Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years in a comparable role related to Automotive Quality, Product Quality, Customer Quality, Quality Management Systems, PCN Administration, Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, Product & Test Engineering, or Production Quality Control within the semiconductor industry. Multiple roles are a plus.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies, especially Automotive, APQP, ZVEI, AEC, VDA, PPAP, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor device and package failure mechanisms and symptoms.
- Excellent management skills for internal and external environments through influence and negotiation, capable of responding to challenging situations.
- Solid background in quality/engineering, with good teamwork and communication skills across international time zones (English required).
