Summary / Role Purpose:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform sales activities, establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders to ensure renewal business and generate new opportunities to meet sales targets.
  2. Understand competitors' value propositions and position Ansys software as a superior alternative.
  3. Identify solutions where Ansys offerings can be applied, deliver compelling presentations with technical support, and develop new business opportunities.
  4. Conduct regular engagement activities such as management reviews, training, seminars, and info days to strengthen customer relationships.
  5. Document customer capabilities, metrics, and ROI to demonstrate value and improve sales profitability.
  6. Develop sales and technical partnerships to address technical challenges and pain points.
  7. Research and analyze account information to understand customer needs, organizational structure, and sales processes.
  8. Negotiate multiyear contracts and create ROI-based proposals to benefit both the customer and Ansys.
  9. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurately update data in Salesforce, and stay informed about product offerings.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, business, or related field with 6+ years of experience, or 8+ years of experience.
  • At least 2 years experience as a senior/key/named account manager.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities, track progress, and work autonomously.
  • Proven presentation and persuasion skills, strategic planning capabilities, and ability to navigate complex sales.
  • Strong networking skills and relationship management.
  • Travel: Up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with procurement processes at MoD and in the defense industry.
  • Knowledge of the company's products/services and pricing strategies.
  • Understanding of engineering analysis and technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ecosystem coordination, and coaching abilities.
