Scope

As a Product Manager – Ocean Freight, you will drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the global ocean freight team using the Agile methodology. You will need agile proficiency and skills as a scrum master to help define product strategies and implement global directives and projects. You will be instrumental in organizing efficient, Agile product meetings and potential industry event participation, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Product Management:

  • Take the leading role in shaping and translating long-term product strategies into executable projects and/or products.
  • Drive strategic and operational projects to support the global ocean freight teams at both local and regional levels.
  • Lead, organize, and plan the assigned product development project, including business processes, workflows, and user analyses.
  • Define and evaluate wireframes, validate proof of concept, and work closely with the development team on project requests.
  • Set up SOPs, policies & standards in cooperation with all stakeholders & creation of global standards.
  • Develop a methodology for KPIs and performance reporting in Qlik Sense to improve data quality and transparency.
  • Manage user feedback (internal and external), lead user research, and analyze to translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Initiate beta, pilot programs, and A/B testing initiatives on products.
  • Coordinate with roll-out teams to ensure successful product deployment and implement post roll-out support to ensure business continuity.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage communication flows and feedback internally and externally.
  • Align all relevant teams on the global product strategy.
  • Create, prioritize, and communicate product projects and roadmaps to stakeholders for alignment.
  • Ensure timely delivery of tasks during implementation by clarifying business requests with relevant teams.

Team Management:

  • Ensure the team collaborates effectively and maintains healthy work dynamics.
  • Support team members as needed.
  • Proactively address barriers to task completion.
  • Coordinate with colleagues across diverse regions.

Product & Project Improvement:

  • Manage user feedback to facilitate continuous product improvements.
  • Implement post roll-out support to ensure business continuity.
  • Lead user research and analysis to translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Initiate beta, pilot, and A/B testing initiatives.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience outside of academic and internship roles, preferably in ocean freight within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industries.
  • Certificates in PMP (Project Management Professional) and CSM (Certified Scrum Master) are required.
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills.
