Description

We are looking for a Tech Support Engineer (TSE) to independently respond to issues where first-line product support has been unable to fix problems in malfunctioning systems. TSEs work on more complex problems requiring in-depth system knowledge and understanding of operating principles. TSEs exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques for achieving results. When specialized technical understanding is needed, TSEs consult with other engineering teams and host meetings to determine the best course of action. They also document troubleshooting processes and technical findings to generate service reports.

We will consider new graduates if you demonstrate strong hands-on competence and a desire to succeed.

YOUR MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive formal training at one of our award-winning training centers in California, USA, Singapore, or Taiwan.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time to customer sites for urgent escalations.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for support engineers and become an expert on our product.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving complex issues with tools at customer sites.
  • Serve as a technical support representative for new product development.
  • Complete high-quality reports and documentation.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Experience working with semiconductor systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Full driver’s license.
