CSA is seeking Temporary-On Call Simulation Technicians to work on the Mission Training Complex Capability Support contract at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center (JMSC). JMSC is the primary simulation center for Army Europe and routinely provides simulation and other related technical support to readiness training involving Army, Joint, and multinational partners throughout the year. Due to the nature of this work and location, we will be conducting ongoing interviews while this position is contingent upon award.
How Your Role Will Make an Impact:
- Creates system interfaces and databases in support of an exercise, event, or testing.
- Provides system administration for constructive, mission command interface, and gaming models.
- Works from specifications and installation documentation to develop or modify operating systems applications.
- Provides integration and server administration of constructive simulations in Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulation architectures, mission command systems.
- Operates software in a distributed architecture such as DIS, HLA, and JLVC environments.
- Provides technical operations, setup, and teardown of servers, systems, and integration tools; maintains RMF compliance; contributes to exercise design and technical planning products.
- Participates in training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning, site surveys, and training events.
What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI access.
- Experience with Windows workstations, Windows Servers, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Server/Workstation, including software updates, patches, and baselines.
- Experience creating databases supporting exercises, events, or testing.
- Experience with computer applications such as US DoD modeling and simulation defense programs.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, understanding, and writing English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks under deadlines.
- Ability to work with senior government and industry leaders.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including beyond normal weekday hours, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- DoD IAT II certification: CompTIA Security+ or higher Information Assurance certification.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience building databases for JLCCTC, JCATS, JDLM, JLOD, etc.
- Experience integrating simulation data (DIS or HLA protocols) to simulate C4ISR/AMCS/C2 systems for creating a common operation picture (COP) in simulation.
