The Position

The Opportunity: The Global Medical Collaboration Leader (GMCL) is a medical, field-based role working across countries and affiliates to accelerate the development and delivery of medicines to patients through effective medical customer engagement across the lifecycle of a molecule/Disease Area (Obesity).

The GMCL:

• Acts as a strategic field-based medical partner for global teams and affiliate colleagues
• Understands the needs and supports strategic and tactical planning across the Disease Area (DA) lifecycle
• Serves as an above-country medical expert, establishing scientific collaborations and value-based partnerships
• Supports medicines and disease areas from early development through to post-approval

What will you be working on

As a field-based GMCL, you will have 5 key responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Develop and facilitate external network & relationships, championing ONE Roche
2. Establish and maintain valued relationships with key external stakeholders, acting as the face of Roche and ambassador in new Disease Areas
3. Drive scientific knowledge exchange and medical education activities, identifying opportunities for medical initiatives and partnerships to support the ICX strategy for optimal customer experience
4. Execute activities with customer centricity, staying updated on relevant developments and trends, including Digital Health and personalized medicine
5. Engage, educate, and partner with investigators to expedite clinical program delivery

Further responsibilities include supporting clinical trial site engagement, gathering investigator feedback, providing real-time disease area insights, supporting launch readiness, and fostering innovation within the team.

Who you are

You are a driven individual with strong scientific & commercial acumen who thrives in an empowered, dynamic, and agile environment. You are capable of creating purposeful collaborations with key stakeholders to enable better outcomes for customers. You have:

• Master Degree in science or related field; Postgraduate Degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc, MD, MBA) a plus
• Significant experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry
• Experience in a global or local medical/scientific customer-facing role, with clinical trials operational experience in Germany being highly desirable
• Track record of scientific collaborations with external experts and/or groups
• Deep scientific knowledge of Obesity/Diabetes/Metabolism is highly preferred
• Knowledge of drug development processes, including regulatory requirements and trends
• Fluency in German & English
• Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally
