As a member of the Offshore Service Support team for Vestas Germany, you (m/f/d) will ensure that Health, Safety & Environment procedures are communicated and followed within the team working on an offshore wind farm. The goal is to implement and adhere to global uniform processes and procedures.

This position is Monday to Friday but requires schedule flexibility for unforeseen circumstances such as weather or technical issues. HSE support will be provided at the Baltic Eagle Site Office in Neu Mukran, with occasional offshore travel with technicians.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and conduct Toolbox Talks, internal and external HSE inspections, and meetings. Report incidents and support the project and management team in handling these incidents, including corrective/preventive actions.
  2. Support offshore service operations and enhance safety awareness through daily HSE tasks.
  3. Review and update HSE documents, assist in risk assessments, and conduct toolbox trainings.
  4. Ensure compliance with HSE processes and local legislation, meet customer requirements, and participate in customer meetings.
  5. Coordinate with Service managers, supervisors, and O&M teams to advise on preventive and corrective actions, report hazards, near misses, and incidents, and support incident investigations.
  6. Implement HSE campaigns and contribute to the annual action plan.
  7. Foster a positive safety culture, organize HSE campaigns, and lead team training sessions.

Qualifications

  • HSE background with interest in offshore wind industry.
  • Experience in a similar HSE role within wind power or energy sectors.
  • Knowledge of HSE policies, incident management, registration, and investigation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Understanding of risk assessment practices, COSHH, and control process implementation.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and develop local procedures.
  • Knowledge of lifting operations and related regulations.
  • Fluent in German and English, with strong communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, autonomous, and structured in work approach.
  • Ability to coach teams to develop a proactive safety culture.
