Jobbeschreibung

We are seeking a motivated individual with a technical background and experience in scientific instrumentation, experimental techniques, and computer technology to join our scientific team on a long-term basis. You will collaborate with our research team in laboratory work, assist with computer-related issues, and support our research activities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide general and operational laboratory support.
  2. Design and implement simple mechanical arrangements.
  3. Test and implement new devices.
  4. Organize optoelectronic measuring stations and electronics.
  5. Document IT issues (ticketing system).
  6. Maintain software licenses and hardware in collaboration with central IT.
  7. Configure Windows computers within the division.
Requirements:
  • Completed vocational training in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Reliable, independent worker with attention to technical details.
  • Highly motivated, well-organized, open-minded, with good problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator fluent in both German and English.
  • Deep knowledge of current Windows operating systems (Windows 7 and above).
  • Experience with CAD software for mechanical design or optical raytracing (e.g., Zemax ASAP) is highly valued.
  • Experience with vacuum technology, optics, and laser technology is advantageous.
