Business Development Director - Arrow Global Supply Chain Services (m/w/d)
This is an individual contributor role.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, or related fields, with 10-12 years of successful B2B solution sales experience to top European Tier 1 and OEM strategic accounts.
- Experience or network within automotive decision-makers at OEMs is a plus.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks, especially in semiconductors, logistics, software, or related industries, developing complex solutions.
- Thorough knowledge of key account selling, electronic components distribution, and global supply chain industries.
- Strong relationships within the industry.
- Ability to identify decision-makers and leverage relationships effectively.
- Excellent consultative sales skills, with a track record of converting leads into opportunities.
- Experience working with teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Deep understanding of multinational cloud, compute, and consumer accounts, especially within European automotive OEMs and key regional accounts.
- Proven success managing complex multinational accounts across EMEA, US, and APAC regions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging C-level and senior management.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Act as the primary contact and create sales opportunities within targeted large, complex, multi-location Arrow customers through strategic sales planning.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities for Arrow’s Global Supply Chain Solutions.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities, with clear understanding of their status, size, and scope.
- Understand customer needs and decision-making processes to proactively develop solutions.
- Lead strategic account planning, setting mutual objectives and milestones.
- Maximize profit margins by selling long-term, value-added solutions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet account goals.
- Deliver compelling proposals to senior decision-makers, highlighting Arrow’s value proposition.
- Leverage relationships with suppliers and distribution channels to grow sales.
- Develop relationships with key personnel in operations, finance, and supply chain at target accounts.
- Manage RFQ activities within assigned accounts, ensuring strategies align with company policies.
- Maintain a dominant market share in assigned accounts, understanding competitors’ positions.
- Implement innovative strategies to expand customer and supplier relationships.
- Execute strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and business objectives.
- Communicate customer needs and industry trends to Arrow leadership.
