As a service technician (m/f/d), you optimize work processes in companies through the intelligent use of modern IT solutions.

Since our foundation in 2008, we have been offering our customers IT solutions, services, and innovations. Our company is headquartered in Kaltenkirchen near Hamburg and currently employs 8 people.

We are your reliable IT system house with national and international customers. GMZ advises companies in project management, data management, and organization. Additionally, GMZ is a technology service provider focusing on cloud services, virtualization, and development. We provide operational services ranging from helpdesk and service management to monitoring. Our clients range from sole proprietorships to medium-sized industrial companies and corporations across various sectors.

What can you expect as a service technician in the project business?

• You optimize work processes in companies through the intelligent use of modern IT solutions.
• You assess existing IT solutions and work processes in our customers' companies.
• You develop technical concepts for customer projects in collaboration with Sales and support their active sales efforts.
• You independently handle projects from start to finish, with support from colleagues when needed, either on-site at the customer's location or via remote maintenance, and document all projects thoroughly in our knowledge database.
• You hand over completed projects to our first-level support team, which manages ongoing customer support. Most customer appointments are scheduled in advance by our technician scheduling department.

What you should bring with you

• Completed vocational training in IT.
• Extensive professional experience with common server and network technologies (e.g., Microsoft servers, firewalls, monitoring, patch management).
• Ability to manage and execute IT projects from initial assessment through planning and implementation to successful completion.
• Confidence in client discussions and the ability to recognize customer needs.
• A friendly, personable, and engaging demeanor.
• A mindset as a "process optimizer" using IT as a tool.
