Job Description:

The Regional Director Medical Affairs (RDMA) is responsible for executing scientific & medical plans in their Therapy Area across their assigned European region. They collaborate with cross-functional teams including Commercial, CORE, Policy, and Market Access, engaging with regional scientific leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Guiding R&D GMSA staff in executing annual scientific & medical plans
  • Chairing the Regional Medical Affairs Team to ensure plan execution
  • Aligning scientific exchange with global communication platforms
  • Partnering with regional teams to develop and implement plans
  • Gathering and consolidating medical insights from the region
  • Engaging with Scientific Leaders and key stakeholders
  • Supporting affiliates in engaging with scientific leaders
  • Organizing expert input events, symposia, and educational meetings
  • Supporting local data generation studies and reviewing investigator-initiated proposals
  • Managing regional programs for patient support, education, and risk management
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Minimum:

  • MD, PhD, OD, or PharmD with expertise in Retinal therapeutics
  • 5+ years in Medical Affairs at regional or country level
  • Strong prioritization, decision-making, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication, and project management skills

Preferred:

  • Leadership in scientific and stakeholder engagement within the therapeutic area
