Solution Architect - German Mission Network (m/w/d)

Start immediately, full-time or part-time, nationwide at one of our BWI locations.

The Shared Service Architecture department handles solution development specific to delivery and is responsible for the technical design of complex, cross-cutting, and comprehensive IT solutions within the service lines. Focus areas include designing and conceptualizing secure, economical IT solutions aligned with customer requirements, utilizing the capabilities of delivery units. Our strength lies in our well-trained staff, specialized in one or more technological topics, working in virtual teams with various stakeholders to shape and further develop the IT infrastructure of our clients. The main focus of this role is solution development within the German Mission Network project, providing highly automated, virtualized platforms for deploying mission-critical applications for the Bundeswehr.

• Design of solution options for deploying portable data center components to operate an automated platform for Bundeswehr's mission-critical applications.
• Conceptualization of backend architectures in different information domains to provide virtualized platforms as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
• Design of data exchange options between portable and stationary components within a comprehensive deployment scenario.
• Conceptualization of portable data center components up to the virtualization layer.

Qualifications:

• Completed degree with a focus on IT or comparable vocational training.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture as an enterprise, solution, or IT architect, or as a technical IT consultant.
• Extensive knowledge of traditional infrastructure and cloud platforms, plus expertise in at least one of the following fields: IT security, Identity & Access Management, data center architectures, virtualization platforms, legacy client/server structures.
• Knowledge of applying the IT-Grundschutz compendium and experience in requirements engineering/management (e.g., IREB).
• Proactive and communicative mindset with a strong solution-oriented approach.
