Senior Data Scientist / Developer (w/m/d) - Index Specialist

Your Tasks

• You are responsible for the technical implementation and integration of international commodity indices.
• As part of the Market Data team, you will work with our Index Solution Specialist to implement requirements for new indices and integrate them into the software design.
• You will analyze existing index calculation processes to optimize them and ensure quality.
• Working with cloud services, GitHub, and Jira will be part of your daily tasks.
• The implementation of a monitoring system to ensure data quality will also be part of your responsibilities.

Your Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field, with experience in coding with Python.
• Practical knowledge of Cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP ecosystem) and proficiency in SQL (BigQuery).
• Experience with Jira, GitHub, and workflows.
• Excellent communication skills in Business English and intermediate German.
• Ideally, experience in indices, exchange, or banking environments.
• Knowledge of languages like Node.js, Go, Java, .NET, Ruby, PHP is an advantage.
