Job Description:

EU Sustainability Engineering team is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer to support programs within Amazon's electrification transformation. Amazon aims to build a sustainable future, committed to net-zero carbon by 2040 under The Climate Pledge. Key initiatives include electrifying last and middle mile fleets, maximizing energy efficiency in buildings, expanding private charging networks, and developing smart grid technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Align and set stakeholder expectations for electrical infrastructure installation for EV charging networks and smart grids.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive energy efficiency initiatives and implement IoT technologies like smart meters.
3. Manage vendors to ensure quality and smooth on-site interactions with safety and operations teams.
4. Own electrical equipment standards and perform design validation to ensure compliance.
5. Support Field Engineering for installation execution and prepare business cases for program scoping.
6. Engage with various organizational levels to make strategic decisions impacting Amazon's transportation network.

About the Team:

The EU Sustainability Engineering team develops electrical standards for EV charging and smart grid solutions, focusing on reliability and cost-efficiency. The team collaborates closely with global and regional partners, leveraging field engineering, maintenance, and operations insights.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in electrical engineering.
• Experience leading programs in dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in financial planning for large-scale projects.
• Strong communication skills and data analysis proficiency.
• Experience with Excel, reporting tools, databases, and cloud computing.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical engineering projects, procurement, and maintenance contracting.
• Knowledge of the European and global electrical and energy sectors.
• Experience with EV charging and Smart Grid technologies.
