About

Amazon is seeking Site Process Engineers to work in the EU Process Engineering (EU PE) team. The Site Process Engineer is an onsite position.

The EU PE team is a group of operational leaders driving process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement for the EU Customer Fulfilment Network. This team is essential to establish best-in-class process performance across all different direct and indirect processes, accelerate implementation of technological advancements, and strengthen the technical acumen and process knowledge for operational leaders across the FC network. EU PE ensures operations teams are equipped with the functional expertise to deliver expected gains from technology advances and network-wide process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Identify top opportunities in the FC by comparing with other EU FCs, focusing on bottom 50% processes, and implement improvement plans.
• Oversee the FC improvement program, prioritizing key areas aligned with FC leadership.
• Deep dive into process performance using reports and data analysis; convert insights into tangible improvement plans.
• Review open Action Plans weekly, engaging stakeholders to ensure completion and target achievement.
• Collaborate with central PE functions and other Site PEs for process clarification and benchmarking.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the FC.
• Implement network best practices and share successful initiatives for repository inclusion.
• Enhance the framework for capturing and scaling FC innovations.
• Ensure major projects (>$10M WW savings) are included in the Operating Plan.
• Deploy EU network initiatives, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
• Participate in daily Gemba walks and organize weekly leadership meetings to discuss variation reduction, projects, and best practices.
• Support Site Leaders and Senior Management, building strong relationships and supporting process-related tasks.
• Lead or support EU projects, especially those expanding scope across multiple FCs.
• Be prepared to support site management operations as needed, including travel within the area of responsibility.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency in English and German (C1 level)
• Experience in Operations as Area Manager or similar
• Technical knowledge of at least one Fulfillment process path (e.g., Quriosity silver/gold certification)
