Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development and management of key accounts and sales channels for Germany and EMEA. This position is accountable for growing the sales funnel and accurately forecasting orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand sales territories within the assigned EMEA region
  • Meet sales financial targets by accurately forecasting requirements and aligning with company objectives
  • Drive sales funnel growth and ensure the accuracy of forecasts to meet or exceed targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers while identifying new business opportunities
  • Acquire in-depth product knowledge by attending technical training sessions and staying current with industry trends and competitor products
  • Represent Ametek at sales meetings, trade shows, and conferences to identify leads and promote products
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to demonstrate Ametek PPD's capabilities and solutions
  • Actively manage direct sales channels, including OEMs, Channel Partners, end users, and engineering firms, within your territory
  • Conduct product demonstrations, installations, and customer training, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with AMETEK’s policies and national regulations while managing sales activities
  • Provide regular performance feedback to senior management and ensure customer inquiries are handled promptly
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including pricing, sales activities, and customer interactions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a technical sales environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical degree preferred
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer requirements, and regional industry trends
  • Demonstrated success in key account management and building new customer relationships; experience desirable
  • Customer focused attitude
  • Strong team player with the ability to work successfully on own initiative
  • Experience in translating technical product features into compelling customer value propositions
  • Proven experience in sales and managing relationships with key clients using CRM tools
  • Attention to detail in maintaining required records and reports
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and quoting tools, with experience in virtual sales tools
  • Effective time management skills in prioritizing and addressing multiple and at times conflicting demands
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English

Additional Details:

Ability to travel extensively within Germany and EMEA, working collaboratively with global teams (up to 70%)
