Your Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and result-driven Manager to join our Corporate Operational Excellence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of operational excellence projects with various business partners globally across the ZEISS group to advance Industry 4.0 initiatives. Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes and increase efficiency using Industry 4.0 measures (e.g., automation, digitalization)
• Consulting internal customers to develop holistic solutions based on best practices with a focus on standardization
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and working with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements leveraging the latest technological advancements
• Leading and supporting strategic continuous improvement initiatives centered on Industry 4.0
• Collaborating with the Corporate Operational Excellence team, Operations, IT departments, and external partners to develop and maintain best practice solutions and procedures
• Developing and managing budgets and resource allocations for high-impact projects
• Providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture
• Coaching, educating, and developing continuous improvement skills and competencies globally

Ihr Profil

• Master's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 2-7 years of experience in a production optimization or operational excellence role, ideally in a consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of integrating production optimization principles with the latest technological advancements from Industry 4.0, Automation, Digitalization
• Proven track record in driving continuous operational excellence and supporting cultural transformation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Fluent proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
