Qualifikationen

  • Several years of experience in lightweight structures simulation.

Forward Engineering (FE) is a trusted partner for holistic and sustainable product development in the automotive and aerospace industry. The global FE team supports our client partners with comprehensive design, system engineering, material and process know-how in the field of technical and fiber-reinforced polymers, functional lightweight construction, and CAE-supported multi-material design optimization. Bringing together our global network of material manufacturers, technology providers, and tier suppliers enables resource-efficient and cost-effective implementation of new and emerging technologies.

Tasks
  1. Planning, implementation, and support of development projects
  2. Concept development, evaluation, and methodical component optimization
  3. Simulation-driven design and manufacturing-based engineering with composites
  4. Conducting material characterization and material modeling
  5. Comparison of simulation and test at coupon, component, and assembly levels
  6. Supporting development projects through the integration and support of external CAE partners, e.g., in complete vehicle crash simulation
Requirements
  1. Several years of experience in the simulation and structural optimization of lightweight structures
  2. Very good knowledge of LS-Dyna (or comparable explicit solver)
  3. In-depth knowledge of common pre- and post-processing programs such as Hypermesh & Hyperview
  4. Good knowledge of material behavior and material models of metals and composites
  5. Goal- and problem-solving-oriented work approach, strong coordination skills, and team motivation
  6. Business fluency in English and German
  7. Confident appearance and high personal competence in advising customers
  8. Flexibility, willingness to travel, and motivation for international projects
  9. Experience and comfort in presenting to groups at both introductory and technical expert levels
