Channel Account Manager – SMB

Location: Munchen

The SMB Channel Account Manager will build and promote Fortinet’s position as the worldwide leader in Unified Threat Management, specifically within the small and medium business (SMB) community in the territory. The role is a key contributor to the revenue growth of the region, managing to the company’s growth targets. The manager is accountable for managing SMB partnerships within the guidelines of Fortinet’s channel programs, spearheading new business development, and successfully acquiring SMB accounts. They will motivate, educate, and train partners on the company’s products and technologies. Additionally, they will expand sales by building business plans, including MDF strategy, account penetration strategy, and profitability targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop SMB partner community in the specific territory in Germany.
  2. Develop relationships with major market players, including Fortinet’s distribution partners.
  3. Build revenue and non-revenue business plans.
  4. Provide ongoing sales and technical training to partners.
  5. Create marketing plans to drive incremental sales pipeline and revenues with development funds.
  6. Act as a key channel strategist to grow the SMB market within the region.
  7. Partner with Fortinet marketing and engineering teams to drive revenue growth.
  8. Ensure geographic channel coverage within the region, including traveling four days a week to meet partners and distributors.
  9. Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Required Skills:

  1. Background in IT security.
  2. Outgoing personality, interested in working with diverse roles within the partner ecosystem, from admin to technical to C-level contacts.
  3. Experience in delivering sales training and working in a fast-paced environment with revenue responsibilities.
  4. Good presentation skills for SMB business owners and individual contributors.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  7. Competitive, self-starter, hunter mentality.
  8. Languages: Native German and professional-level English.
