For our successful and rapidly growing Public Sector sales team in Germany, we are looking for an ambitious and passionate

IT (Key) Account Manager – Government & Public Sector / Federal Authorities (m/f/d) – nationwide

The focus of your responsibilities will be the long-term management of a designated customer base in the area of Federal Authorities, expanding this network, and strategically preparing, managing offers, and handling complex framework contract tenders.

Your specific tasks include:
  • You are responsible for the strategic marketing of our NTT DATA portfolios, e.g., in the areas of Network, Infrastructure, System Integration, Cyber Security, Unified Collaboration, Data Center & (Multi) Cloud, tailored to strategic customers in the environment of Federal Authorities.
  • You develop existing Federal customers and partner networks further and win new framework agreements for our sales team.
  • You identify digitalization projects within the federal sector.
  • The sale of solution-oriented services and products from leading IT manufacturers (e.g., Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto) is part of your responsibilities.
  • You develop customer-specific solutions in collaboration with technical departments and present these concepts to the team and customers.
  • You increase NTT's visibility in the Public Sector through events, innovation workshops, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Positioning NTT as a reliable advisor and direct contact for a secure, agile, and versatile IT landscape, and as a partner in digitalization for the public sector, is a key part of your role.
What you bring to the table:
  • An commercial or comparable education or a degree with a business background.
  • At least 3-5 years of sales experience in the public sector, ideally in network solutions, unified communications, data centers, IT security, or converged collaboration.
  • A good network within federal authorities and/or the defense sector.
  • Experience with public procurement law and tender procedures.
  • A structured approach, meticulous, results-oriented work style.
  • Negotiation skills and high reliability regarding deadlines.
  • Willingness to undergo a security check according to SÜG.
  • Confident handling of business metrics and complex calculations, ideally also experience with Salesforce.com.
  • Solid MS Office skills.
  • Fluent German and good English skills in spoken and written are a must-have.
  • Nationwide and international travel willingness.
