The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Now we are looking for a:

Mechanical Engineer for high speed motors/actuators - Leased Labor 12 months (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Knowhow in designing, simulating, and manufacturing high speed actuators or motors
  • Perform multibody simulations and develop the CAD drawings
  • Experience in quick prototyping and testing
  • Experience in design and manufacturing of circuit breakers is a plus.
  • Assemble test setups and debug mechanical issues.
  • Discuss with suppliers and manage the fabrication process of the parts needed to assemble motors/actuators
  • Identify necessary standards and perform the tests needed to qualify the prototype and bring the idea to the market
  • Write technical reports, patents and publications
  • Continuous research on the field and attend relevant conferences to stay up to date

Requirements

  • Master degree or above in mechanical Engineering or other related fields
  • Experience in design and testing of motors/actuators. Experience in axial flux motors/circuit breakers is a strong plus.
  • Experience in building test set-ups to test different actuator concepts
  • Experience in research, development and application of key technologies and devices in this field
  • Solid basic knowledge of mechanics
  • Good teamwork spirit, strong learning ability and English communication and writing skills
